State Representative Frank Iler files for re-election
OAK ISLAND, N.C. – State Representative Frank Iler (R-Brunswick) filed as a candidate for re-election today at the Brunswick County Board of Elections in Bolivia. Iler, a retired businessman who lives on Oak Island with his wife, Jackie, was selected to fill the vacancy created by Rep. Bonner Stiller’s resignation last year.
“It has been both a great honor and a tremendous responsibility to represent the people of Brunswick County,” says Iler. “Since taking office last year, I have pushed for policies which create a favorable environment for job creation in southeastern North Carolina. In addition, I have worked hard to be a strong voice for common-sense fiscal policies that make wise use of the taxpayers’ money and reduce the burden on our hard-working families and small businesses. As a husband, father and former small business owner, I understand the challenges our citizens are facing in the midst of this economic downturn, and I will continue to push for policies that help them weather this economic storm.”
