Representative Frank Iler named 2021 Jobs Champion by N.C. Chamber of Commerce
State Representative Frank Iler, a Brunswick County Republican, has been named a 2021 Jobs Champion by the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce. The designation is a part of the Chamber’s annual How They Voted legislative report card and is based on having a strong pro-business voting record of 80 percent or greater for the 2021 legislative session. Iler’s record was listed at 94%.
“As a lifelong businessperson and former business owner, I understand the importance of enacting legislation that empowers businesses to create good, private sector jobs,” said Rep. Iler. “I’m humbled to be recognized as a Jobs Champion by the North Carolina Chamber.”
According to its website, each year the N.C. Chamber identifies Job Champions in the North Carolina General Assembly whose voting records and other efforts demonstrate their commitment to pro-growth and pro-jobs ideas. The Chamber’s website adds that “these Jobs Champions understand the need to strengthen our business climate, improve our education and talent supply system, invest in our infrastructure, and tackle other issues important to our business community.” The bills scored report were selected based on their alignment with three pillars for forward-thinking, pro-business advocacy: Education and Talent Supply, a Competitive Business Climate, and Infrastructure and Growth Leadership.
