A Busy Weekend on the Campaign Trail

This weekend was a busy one. On Saturday morning I attended my GOP precinct meeting in Oak Island (a combined meeting of the three Oak Island precincts) at 10 a.m.

After speaking with the attendees, I left and traveled to northern Brunswick County for a combined meeting of the Hood Creek, Leland, Woodburn and Belville precincts.

After the North Brunswick precinct meetings, I enjoyed lunch at Shirley’s Diner in Leland. Then I headed back to the southern end of Brunswick County for yet another round of precinct meetings — this time in Southport.

The opportunity to meet and get to know so many people throughout the county has been both a great privilege and a powerful reminder of the important issues facing our county, state and nation.
